FAQs
Which class/workshop should I start with?
Our beginner classes and workshops are all appropriate for an introduction to pottery. However, some wheel students find that they are better prepared for success (and learn faster) if they have taken a handbuilding class first. Handbuilding provides an excellent opportunity to get a “feel” for the clay.
Do I need a membership?
You do not need a membership to register for a class. All of our classes include unlimited practice time throughout the week during our regular business hours. Once you’ve completed a class, you may purchase studio time or purchase a monthly membership.
What do I need to bring with me?
We supply all of the necessary tools, aprons, clay, etc. Please bring a good attitude, trimmed fingernails and a hair tie. Remember, you’re going to play in the mud, so wear something comfortable that you don’t mind getting a little dirty.
Where should I park?
We do not have on-site parking available for students, so please find a parking spot on the street or in one of the several public parkades nearby.
Can I make up a class that I missed?
Our instructor’s time is valuable. Make up classes can be scheduled for $95/class, subject to instructor availability.
What if I use up all the clay I was given for my class?
Each class includes up to 10 lbs of clay for student use. Additional clay can be purchased for $5/lb.
